Clock Club is a free analog clock game for children ages 6–9. Set the hands using large hour and minute buttons, or read a clock and choose its time. Digital help is available on request. The short hand moves gradually between hours as the minutes change.
How to play
- Choose Whole hours, Half hours, or Five-minute times. Select Set the clock or Read the clock.
- To set a time, use the hour and minute buttons. To read one, look at both hands and select the matching time.
- Use digital help when you need it, then check. Notice that the short hour hand moves between numbers as minutes pass.
A worked example
At 3:30, the long hand points to 6 because six groups of five minutes make 30. The short hand sits between 3 and 4: it is half past three, not half past four.
Three trails to explore
- Sprout: tell time to the hour.
- Explorer: practice the hour and half hour.
- Whiz: practice five-minute intervals, quarter past, and quarter to.
What to notice
The two hands have different jobs. The number under the long hand is counted in fives; the short hand tells which hour has begun. A quarter to four is 3:45.
A little help when it matters
Every game has a step-by-step “How to play” guide, optional spoken instructions, and hints that explain mistakes. Five challenges earn a medal saved on the device. There are no time limits or penalties for trying again.
Try this together
Count around the clock in fives together. At half past three, notice that the hour hand sits halfway between 3 and 4.
